Informations about your geographical location:  The Shetland Islands are a group of over 100 islands located off the northern coast of Scotland. The islands have a rich history, with many historical buildings still standing today. The five most important historical buildings are Jarlshof Prehistoric and Norse Settlement, the Broch of Mousa, the Old Scatness Broch, the Clickimin Broch, and the St. Ninian's Isle Chapel. These buildings are a testament to the islands' long and varied history. The Shetland Islands are also known for their gastronomic specialties. Popular dishes include Shetland lamb, Shetland beef, and Shetland salmon. Other local delicacies include bannocks, a type of flatbread, and skerpikjøt, a type of dried, salted mutton. The history of the Shetland Islands dates back to the Iron Age, when the islands were inhabited by the Picts. Later, the islands were settled by the Norse, who left behind many of the historical buildings that still stand today. The islands were part of Norway until 1468, when they were ceded to Scotland. Since then, the islands have been an integral part of Scotland, and their unique culture and history have been preserved.
